Her soulful sound feels like comfort food for listeners, even if the lyrics and themes are much more. In her latest single “Halfway”, she assess an imperfect relationship with pinpoint precision, making the familiar subject matter her own.
Phoenixx initially stepped onto the scene as a songwriter, earning a Soul Train nomination for her ability with a pen. She has since established herself as a solo R&B act, rising from the ashes of adversity she’s encountered in her earlier days.
