The brand pushing social justice
College can create a legacy for a lot of things. Though it is a place of learning it can be a place where you connect with kindred spirits and even potential business partners. Meet the Morehouse crew: Grant Bennett, Malik Kennedy and Mason Chipley who used their college experience to establish a brotherhood and build the creative brand “Long Live.” A collective fashion brand where the three use clothing to navigate their audience through life experiences.
Each coming from a different area of the map. Grant (Fayetteville, North Carolina), Malik (Toronto, Canada) and Mason (Inglewood, California) adds a unique perspective to the brand. With their first project “Long Live 2020” which was dedicated to the class of 2020 who unfortunately couldn’t participate in a traditional graduation ceremony is only glimpse how powerful the messages are to come. “On the back of our tees, we wrote, ‘We gon make it out regardless.’ Our tees reflect the attitude of most of the people in our generation” they said, “Outside of creating a tee that would stand the test of time, we wanted to create something that captured our mindset.”

Long Live is not only a brand but a community. When asked what the futures hold for LL they replied “Long Live will continue to drop projects in the future. We have already been asked to design tees for a large group of students in the class of 2021” the crew adds, “Outside of merchandise, we also have an interest in branching out into hosting live events and social impact. We are already working on some new ideas for the fall.” They are currently donating proceeds to multiple different social justice causes surrounding police brutality.
