His most ambitious work to date (Music Review)
While CollegeBoyTrey is no stranger to creating crowd pleasing anthems, he knows better than most that carving out a sound and aesthetic that is entirely his own is something completely different. When he began working on the six song EP “DREAMLAND SAGA”, he knew he had something that captured who he is and where he’s going as an artist. “It’s the first piece of work that sounds like I have a handle, or close to achieving the type of sound I’m aiming for,” He says. “Each song is a dream, and is sequenced in a specific order that follows right after each other.”https://open.spotify.com/album/623GExMcco8gAQqZ0uwBEmCollegeBoyTrey came into the project knowing that this needed to be his best body of work yet. With a renewed sense of focus, he manages to combine dark, moody vibes with playful and enjoyable ones. His goal was to create a diverse listening experience for fans that keeps their emotions in limbo. “I hope it helps them with what they are going through at the moment and help them escape to a Dreamland,” He says. While it does just that for listeners, it also provided a glimpse into whats to come for one of New Haven’s brightest stars.
