The name of the brand derived from the city Cité Soleil, which is an extremely impoverished and densely populated commune located in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area in Haiti.
The brand is characterized by its bird logo which references the Kingdom of Haiti Flag from 1811-1820. As an ode to his land, Cité Soleil Brand partnered up with Project 4 Haiti to donate 10% of each sale to their trusted non-profit Haitian organization.
