The star guard makes it official
Tykei Greene is the perfect example of what steady improvement and a solid work ethic can do long term for a hooper. After putting up incredible numbers for Thomas Edison (24 ppg, 7 boards), Greene stepped out of his comfort zone and took his talents to an elite program in Long Island Lutheran. With the Crusaders, he improved by leaps and bounds, leading the squad within a game of the federation title and improving his stock in the process. Yesterday, he made his big decision.
Greene is taking his talents to Loyola of Chicago, where he’ll join a red hot program fresh off of a historic season. Greene is a fantastic get for the school, who will surely be looking to capitalize on their post season success and build going forward. He chose Loyola over a number of offers which included Drexel, Manhattan and Robert Morris. Greene took the blue collar road to a great D1 situation, and as a result, we’ll be seeing him in march for years to come.
